As I sit here, I wonder about His plans. What would the next 3 years look like? Are my plans His plans? Is my will His will? The days move by so quickly, and sometimes it feels as though life is simply passing by. Some of us have prophetic words released over us, but the reality is that we can only see in part what God is saying concerning our future. It forces us to trust in Him to carry out His word. It also holds us accountable to position ourselves in line with His will so that His word may come to pass. His plan is to prosper.
For many of us, life has been throwing us curveballs after curveballs, difficult situations after difficult situations. As one hurdle has been jumped, another comes. Every day life now starts to feel burdensome. That’s just the truth of what many of us feel on the inside. It is important to acknowledge our feelings and emotions while doing so, not allowing them to control our destiny. They should not be given permission to hinder God’s purpose for your life. His plan most definitely is not to harm.
Each hurdle serves a purpose, for each difficult situation God has a plan.
Too often as believers we live life from a place of uncertainty. As though we are unsure whether we are victorious. We approach life with doubt, not realizing that the story written about us is a glorious one. Oftentimes the glory of the story is at the end of the rocky road or at the top of a bumpy hill. That glory can’t be experienced without you making it to the end. A big part of the glory is the character that is formed in us as we stay true to the process, not giving up and trusting that in the midst of what we are going through, God will never leave us nor forsake us.
His plan is to form us into His image and His likeness.
How can we be formed in His image without first overcoming the world? John 16:33 states the following: “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.].” The reality is, we live in a world that will throw so many challenges at us, but I’m going to implore you to be of good cheer because we serve a God who has overcome the world. Therefore, by abiding in Christ, you have now become an overcomer. In Him you are safe in the midst of life’s turmoil.
God’s plan is to give you a hope and a future.
I’m encouraging you to visualize God’s promises, even when it is hard to see; don’t lose sight of them. You are not called to feel hopeless in the midst of your trials, because He is your hope. He desires for you to prosper in all things, knowing that “ the testing of your faith through experience produces endurance leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace.”(James 1:3 AMP)
Beloved, in order for His plan to prevail over your life to the utmost, it’s beneficial for you to know His plans. Remind yourself of the good, good Father that He is. That He desires the very best for you, in line with His character and His will. I pray that in the midst of whatever life is throwing at you, you will remember that your biggest cheerleader is seated in the throne room in heaven, and His desire is that you may succeed and prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers spiritually. His plan is to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future. May your mind and spirit align with the truth of God’s word, and may this truth bear much fruit in your life as you walk it out in faith.
