John 8: 36 AMP – So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free.

How many of us question our freedom in Christ? Be honest with yourself. This may not be a conscious questioning. This can also be subconscious.
This past weekend as a Christian community we celebrated the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The spotless lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Because of His sacrifice, sin no longer has power over a believer. We have been given the power and authority to walk in freedom. We hear this year after year but has it truly resonated?
This past Easter season has been a special one for me. I felt liberated. There was a grace for deliverance and I apprehended it. As believers we all have different things that we struggle with, big or small, a struggle is a struggle, and a sin is a sin. During this past Easter holiday, the Lord highlighted a particular ungodly mindset that I had thought I had overcome. It was a subtle nudge in my spirit that resulted in a somber conviction. I repented and I sought the Lord. He later revealed that now more than ever is the time to fully walk out my deliverance. And that is exactly what I did. I set out on a three-day fast to fully grasp what the Lord was doing and at the end, the words He released were – It is finished.
It Is Finished !!! some of Jesus’ final words on the cross. His completed work on the cross has given us victory over every ungodly mindset, it has given us victory over every past trauma, and it has given us victory over everything we struggle with in the flesh. Because of the completed work on the cross we are no longer slaves to sin.
So if the son sets you free, then you are really and unquestionably free. (AMPC Bible) Therefore I charge you to walk in that freedom. Tell sexual immorality that it no longer has a hold on you because – It Is Finished. Tell lying to step aside because – It Is Finished. Tell ungodly mindsets and ways of thinking, to step out of the way because -It is Finished. Tell pride to go sit down somewhere else because – It Is Finished. What it now comes down to is whether or not you believe it is finished. Do you believe in the completed work on the cross? That’s not a rhetorical question. A belief that remains in the mind and is not being walked out, quite possibly isn’t true belief.
Beloved, be encouraged to walk boldly knowing that you have been given the power to overcome sin through the completed work on the cross.
IT IS FINISHED
